EGOS Colloquium 2012 - proposal accepted

21.02.2012 – Maxie Wilkesmann and her research assistant So Rim Jang will present their empirical paper "How do experts like physicians deal with their ignorance?" at the 28th European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium in Helsinki, Sub-Theme 03 (Standing Working Group) "Professional Service Organizations and Knowledge-Intensive Work".

08.02.2012 – The Professional Association of German Surgeons (BDC e.V.) will also support the online survey of the DFG grant. About 14,000 surgeons who work at German hospitals will be contacted in March and April 2012.

01.02.2012 – The Federal Association of Pathologists (BDP e.V) will support the Online-Survey in March 2012. About 1,400 pathologists will be contacted in March 2012.

 

BDA and DGAI support Online-Survey

31.01.2012 – The Professional Association of German Anesthetists (BDA e.V.) as well as the Medical Society of Anesthesia and Intensive-Care Medicine (DGAI e.V.) will support the online survey of the DFG grant. About 20,000 anesthetists who work at German hospitals will be contacted in March 2012.

 

Invited Talk in Hong Kong

09.09.2011 – Maxie Wilkesmann was invited by the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society in Hong Kong to give a talk about "The Impact of Ignorance in German Hospitals". The talk took place at the HKMMS monthly event on 6th September 2011.

Inaugural Lecture

27.05.2011 – Maxie Wilkesmann and her team organized a joint inaugural lecture of all four Junior Professors who were appointed in winter 2010 at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Science. The event took place on 24th May 2011 at the Rudolf-Chaudoire-Pavillon.

DFG Grant

14.12.2010 – Maximiliane Wilkesmann successful raised an excellent two- year independent research grant which is funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation). The aim of the project is to investigate "Dealing with Ignorance in German Hospitals. A comparison of Physicians’ specialties (Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Pathology)". The project will start in March 2011.
