What is Microeconomics about?
That part of economics, which studies indicidual and interpersonal decision making of single economic units, is called microeconomics.
Microeconomics aims at ganinig insights into the behavior of households and firms, the functioning of markets and the consequences of market outcomes.
On the one hand, it explores fundamental issues such as the functioning of market systems and market forms (competition, oligopoly, momopoly).
On the other, it investigates specific problems of single important (sub.) markets such as labor markets, insurance markets and credit markets.
